Hello all,
I am about to purchase the Denon x4000 and I was thinking about adding the Emotiva Xpa-200 to drive my fronts but Ive head the x4000 sounds pretty good so is there any need in getting the Emotiva?

What are your fronts (and other connected speakers) and what is the distance to your listening position from the fronts ?
Cheers, Mac

I would think the Denon will be plenty for a room and load like that.
I have a 3313 and run a 6.1 off of it in my basement theater with no problems.
Cheers, Mac

Would there be a difference in SQ with the Emotiva?

I don't think you will benefit from more power, if you want to upgrade buy new speakers, add room treatments, better sub ect.. that will all be noticeable differences ..

It is a common misconception that more power somehow improves sound quality. That is only the case when your existing receiver/amp does not have sufficient power for your needs.
