After a long wait we finally received the DTS:X update on the SC 97 99.
I have the European version the SC-LX89 which is equivalent to the SC-99.
Who else find that the update is wrong in sense of sound quality?
Yes it's Immersive 3d sound on DTS discs.
But please try some 2ch audio and up mix to Neural:X.
All the sound is concentrated to the center speaker. Even the low parts of sounds gets in the center. So a lot of bass hearable in the center. It even looks distorted in some way.
I know 2ch audio is not the way you listen to music and i never do. But for me it's just an indication that the DTS update is not good.
I have heard 2ch upmixing to Neural:X on a Denon and it sounds way different on the Pioneer.
And cross format mixing is not possible which I think is a big bummer.
Curious to know what other 2015 Elite owners think about it.
