Well, I just got back from my Vacation in Australia and I was able to find a few hours to go see Dr. Strange.

Besides Sydney, being extremely expensive ($44 AU) for the Gold Package Seats, the movie surprised me. I really had little hope that this movie would be any good, but to sum it up, it wasn't that bad and I came away actually enjoying it.

What I liked:
  • Does a pretty good job trying to stay true to the source material (though I am not well versed in his backstory)
  • Benedict Cumberbatch actually does a pretty good job with the character
  • There is a story there, it actually does have a decent flow to it
  • Special effects were pretty cool
  • Sound quality was excellent in the theater I was in.

What I didn't like
  • Story while entertaining was a little flat
  • little character development of the supporting cast - especially the villain
  • Would have like to seen a little more background/history on the subvilain and Villain
I would rate 3.5/5 Stars, I think it plays it safe with its SH formula, does a good job staying true to the source material, but not afraid to add "Moive BlockBuster inserts"
