What difference, if any, is there between Monster Cable "SuperFlat™ Mini Navajo White" and XP series in Navajo white.

Both flat, same color, I believe both are 16 gauge.

Why two different products? ... or are they in fact different?

Thank you.

The flat wire is just that, flat. It is ideal for running under carpet or other such things that it might stick out on. The XP is standard size. I noticed that since the flat wire is indeed flat, it has really thin shielding, therefore not as ideal for long runs or runs with a lot of interference possibilities. I run the XP stuff to my surrounds and it works just fine.
