D/A Converter

Hi all,

I have an Audio Alchemy DDE v3.0 digital to analog converter. I want to connect it to my Rotel CD player.

Does anybody have a clue how to hook this thing up?

Inputs: one I2S Bus; one Digital2; and one toslink
Outputs: left and right RCAs and one Digital out.

To use an outboard D/A on a CD player, you need to take a digital out from the CD player and into the D/A, then analog outs to the preamp/receiver.
But why use an outboard D/A in the first place?

I had it laying around because I was using in my car. I just figured I'd hook it up to the CD player to see if it makes any difference.

OK, interesting experimentation. Just be careful of how you compare them. Human bias can and will play a huge roll and is not controllable.
