I just acquired a 78 RPM record player, but I only have 33 RPM records. Is there an easy way to convert the record player to 33 RPM?

No!...

...A player that plays ONLY 78s...never seen one...unless you are referring to an acoustic "Victrola"-type of affair...

TTs capable of playing 78s usually have multiple speeds...16...33.3...45...78...or some combination of those numbers...

16rpm is really lo-fi...used for language lesson or spoken word disks...

I mean you might be able to wire up a rheostat or come up with a Rube Goldberg series of belts and pulleys but why bother? Plus the tone arm/cart tracking weight would probably spiral-slice your vinyl...

jimHJJ(...Try to score some 78s and a supply of cactus needles...go retro-retro...)
