Connecting multiple audio sources to one sub?

Is it possible to connect multiple sources (TV,DVD,RECEIVER) to a single powered sub?

Yes, all your sources (at least audio portion) should be connected to your receiver and it should be connected to sub.
Sub itself doesn't (and shouldn't) do source switching.

Thanks, I understand that, but i don't always listen to my TV through my receiver. I would like to have the option of having the signal going just from my TV or receiver. Is there a switch available that will allow me to switch sources? Already tried a "Y" adapter....does not work!
