Hi guys im only new to forums so if im breaking any rules or this is already posted on here somewhere my apologies...

I am trying to connect my JVC TH-s33 speakers (6ohm) to my Marantz SR-50 (8ohm) apm.
firstly is this possible?
I have tried and it kind of works but the sound quality is weak and sounds like it is loosing power. Maybe I have it connected incorrectly??? (I have read a few sound forums and instructions) any help or experience with these types of combinations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It should be fine assuming the amp and speakers are in good shape and the speakers are connected in phase. That's to say that the red, or "+", match their connections on the amp and speakers.

But, those speakers are part of some kind of integrated system so there may be other dark forces at work here.

How many of these speakers are you trying to connect to the Marantz? From google, I see that its a stereo receiver delivering 40watts per channel.

I would get some new speakers

Looks like JVC was made for the JVC amp - are these your speakers?
