Ceiling Speakers & Sound Insulation

I have a pair of SpeakerCraft 6" CRS Series speakers that are to be installed in my kitchen ceiling. In my search for some kind of back "box" or insulation to help them perform better I have come across the "Dynamat Dynabox" product which seems to be a fairly trick idea, but have no reviews / opinions on it. Before I spend the approx. $ 300 for a pair of the Dynaboxes, does anyone have any experience of them, or are there any other ways of helping ceiling speakers work better (acoustic foam etc.??)

To make the challenge more difficult, the speakers are to be placed in a newly renovated ceiling, hence any solution needs to be "retrofit"

I appreciate that Ceiling speakers are no Audiophile solution, but it is only my kitchen - just want to optimise what there will be :D

Any advice given is appreciated.
