Where else can you find a collection of some of our era’s greatest drummers backed by top-notch jazz musicians, playing top-notch big band arrangements, recorded in top-notch digital recording facilities? As much as I like my old (Pablo label) Count Basie LP’s, the audio quality just doesn’t come close to these well produced (by Neil Peart) CD’s. Plus, there are tons of liner notes and classic photos. Pick one (or both) up and get ready to do some SERIOUS stomping and swinging!

Been happy for years...

I've owned both since they were released. Love them!!!

What Neil Peart did is a credit to his love of music and the Rich family. Plus you would never guess it was him playing "Cotton Tail". (rock guy playing jazz)

Matt Sorum is great playing "Beulah Witch". I read an intervue with him and after a take of that song one of Buddy's band members shouted out (happily)"who is this guy?!!!" and Matt called back "I'm the heavy metal guy!!!"

I've wondered if anyone else around here had heard these cds or if it's just a drummer thing?
