I am new to this forum and just started looking around. Why does everyone seem to be down on Bose? Don't know much about theater sound, just asking. I saw the CineMate for $499 and thought it might be a good deal. Guess I was wrong.

Most people around here dislike bose simply because for the price you can generally get far better separates that not only sound better but will most likely be cheaper.

The general consensus seems to be that bose is overpriced and over hyped because of their great marketing department.
