and the million dollar question is...

For two channel, something that sounds real, from quiet volumes, to rock concert levels. It will have to create that wall of sound. It will probably cost a lot, but that's what I'd like.

Everything else, the same criteria, except my ultimate HT would have to have bone-crushing bass.

WOW!

What kind of speakers are those?
Not McIntosh?
but I love the McIntosh look, so elegant compared to the ho-hum of most components.

Maybe a 7.1 system of the B&W speakers being powered by the Mcintosh 2KW amps, since they are only rated at 2000 watts per channel and that is continuous.

I like Privateer's McIntosh system, but since space is an issue, something along these lines...

The new Mcintosh 2KW system.

It says something about power conditioning that they are using a Richard Grey.

Something my wife can operate, and something the kids can't screw up...

Oh, and play music just as good as it is live, and do theater as well as the best sounding theater :)

Definitely Infinity. You can tell by the tweeters. They were at war with McIntosh in the late 70's/early 80's for the most outrageous speakers. It was fun watching them design some of those monsters. Here's a few more rooms from Exotic Audio that I wouldn't mind having.
