So I'm running into more house build delays which in turn gives me more time to build funds for all out system. Should the next upgrade be an upgrade to Dual PB12-Plus or Emotiva Audio XPA5 amplifier.

Currently System Plans:
Marantz SR7010
SVS Ultra Towers
SVS Ultra Center
SVS Ultra Surrounds
2 - SVS PB-2000
4 - Klipsch CDT-3650-C (Atmos)

Yeh, I'm an SVS fan. Anyhow, if you had to choose one which one would it be amp or sub update?

Larger sub. And also I would try for a bigger step of then the Plus subs. I would be aiming for the Ultra-13s. The Pluses only give you something like a 3 dB boost from the 2000s, which is not really a whole lot. The Ultra-13s should give you something like a 6 dB boost. If you really want a kick ass system, save for some PB16-Ultras.

I would love to get my hands on the new PB16s but the cost for duals is beyond me right now. Maybe I could make it happen within the trade up period.

The PC model Ultra is even more cost effective but two corgis who shed like there's no tomorrow having me avoiding that design.

Your receiver has everything you will need from an amp, so subs will be your answer. And like said, Ultras would give a better upgrade.

What about a Hsu VTF-15H MK2 dual drive? That'd be a pretty decent upgrade over the PB-2000, and cheaper than dual PB-12 Pluses.

CEA-2010 1m peak values comparison:

Let's take a look at some dollars.

PB-12plus $2650

Other reasonable "dual" options just to name a few:
VTH-15H $2035
Rythmik FVX15 $2000
Rythmik FV15HP $2400 + shipping

So many good options at that price point!

P.S. would really like to hear your thoughts on your system once up and running. Thinking of the same system for myself minus the klipsch.
Cheers

To that list I would add an Hsu VTF-3 mk5 dual drive. 1727 shipped. It gives up a few Hz in deep bass, but above 25 Hz will keep up with any of those subs with no problem.

I will definitely be sharing my thoughts on all of this when I have everything. 90% of the funds are already set aside for the order at the start of the year (House eta is Feb 17 now).

Speaking of price, I shared with the wife the comments from others above saying I should get Ultras if I wanted to see gains from the PB-2000 and I kid you not she said "if you are spending all this money why don't you get those Ultras? We can work out the difference"

So um, yeh, I'm now plotting for dual PB13-Ultras. I'm not going 16 even though I know those are the new top dog at SVS. This too much sub?
