In the face of the tautological optimistic reality "everything new is better"; Christopher Nolan is right that 70mm IMAX remains the best recording format we've ever come up with.
I just saw Oppenheimer on Blu-Ray (on my Pioneer Kuro). There is not a shadow of a doubt, no matter how many absurd numbers we tack on, or goofily named formats or technologies we come up with, 70mm IMAX FILM is absolutely the best we've ever come up with, and remains so to this day.
