I've had the same 5.1 setup for over 10 years. My 5.1 Yamaha receiver isn't quiet doing it for me anymore. I've been looking into an Onkyo 7.2 channel. The problem is my theater room is square with the couch up against the wall. I've been told to have a set of rear speakers on the sides of the seating area, and another set behind the seating area. This won't work for me due to the couch being against the wall. My current idea is to keep my current 5.1 speaker setup, and add another 4 (wall mounted) speakers on each top corner of the square room. Would this setup work?
