Mom has 6yr old plasma with bad Hdmi input. Video source is Dish Hopper 3 with joey (Hdmi or RCA outputs only) Dish said she can get 720p with the yellow RCA connection but she said it looks like standard def. Is there a hdmi to component cable converter she can get to work without HDCP issues?

Any advice will be appreciated.

No there is not. Those devices are illegal. You can not get HD from the yellow composite connection only SD. DISH is wrong.

If she can't get a component connection she needs a new HDMI board or a new TV. By the way avoid LG. I would recommend against repairing an LG TV.

We are past the analog sun set so HD analog connections are a thing of the past.
