Default Samsung Finally Gets Into Sharp's Face - 75" Coming In August

Samsung ES9000 LED Smart 3D LCD HDTV Announced

The price is close to the 90" Sharp unfortunately, but I would expec the ES9000 series to look absolutely phenomenal from Samsung and be a clear cut above the Sharp display in overall quality.

Much like the Kuro vs. Panasonic question, the jump in cost may not be worth it to most, but it is great to see Samsung adding 10" to their largest consumer level display in the states.

Will be even better when they get another 10" and drop prices significantly.

    (A) She's smoking hot. We all know it, but if I don't say it, it'll seem odd.

    (B) What's with the "I want to look like a Vulcan" hair cut on that guy?

    (C) Yeah, that's one amazing TV. I'm thrilled at how TVs have become much thinner and weigh a lot less (for a given display size), making it easier to integrate them into a room.

I hope they make another 75" tv that isn't super high end, as that would be the perfect sized tv for my space, something around $3000 would be nice... maybe in a few years.

I really like the super thin bezel.

I was at SAMs this weekend and was really looking long and hard att he 70" Sharp. Now granted, it's not some super duper high end display, but I really don't find myself craving that or needing that anymore. Yeah there's some things that could improve, but I don't think there'd ever be a time where I'd be watching that TV and be disappointed.

They had the 120hz for $2300-ish. I actually went and got a dolly to take one home, but then my wife put the big hammer on it. I think I'm going to wait until xmas time to see what's out there. I can get the buy-in from the wife as long as it's under $3k. I think there's going to be a lot of offereings in the mid 2's to 3... or at least I'm hoping so.

Awesome TV, I really want it, sure Sharp is bigger but Samsung is better in every other possible way. However I don't agree with where they are pricing it at. 5-6k would be a more realistic number but 9k that is absurd. Ill wait for it to go into the low three range before I pull the trigger.
