MSRP from Panasonic means little. Their equipment is widely and deeply discounted.
It seems to me that the 1080p only makes investment sense in the larger sizes, though. 720p/1080i is pretty terrific at any distance on a 42" set.
And one final off-topic (sorry) thing...how in the world did 42" become the industry standard for mid-sized plasma/lcd/rear proj. lcd/etc. screen size?
Why not 44"? Or 41"? Or 40"!? Or...?
