Does anybody have any experience with Pierce Audio? They look like great subs for a reasonable cost and the specs look pretty good as well.

Those 6K series drivers are monsters!
I know and I mean I felt encouraged because I e-mailed them and explained what I was trying to accomplish and explained I was looking at the 6K.
The guy who e-mailed me back said that for a sealed sub that isn's looking for maximum output I should go with the 1K instead and once purchased they'll include optimum box dimensions and plans for what I'm trying to do (reach down deep).
Saving me money? I'm willing to take a chance on a company that tries to do that for me. Unless someone has a horror story they'd like to share.

I came thisclose to posting that Simply Sound Audio was using some of the Pierce drivers, but wasn't sure you wanted me to divulge your source so I kept quiet.![]()

That's great to hear. It makes me feel better about possibly buying a few drivers from him.
Haha it's fine. I'm not secretive, everyone can know where I got my info.
Heck if I wanted to be secretive I would've bought the drivers built the subs and left everybody wondering, what 18" drivers are those??![]()
That makes more sense now. However I will say it's not well kept of a secret
I found out about pierce from reading your review of murrel's subs and then looking at his website and doing some simple googling of murrel's subs. From doing that I ended up at pierce audio.
So now both of you know that it was because of you two that I'm asking about pierce at all.
So thanks![]()

So I modeled the PAP subwoofer I was thinking of getting with this excel thing I found. Since I have a mac this is about as good as its gonna get for me in terms of modeling. Does this look right?
I didn't have the exact Sd so I just kinda fudged the number from a different 18" driver. I experimented with a few different numbers here and it didn't seem to make a tremendous difference in the FR graph so I left it like it is in the picture.
