Default Energy ESW-M8 or Mirage MM-8

These two subs are identical, only relabeled as either Energy or Mirage.
They are ultra-compact - a 9" cube (plus maybe 3/4" for knobs and feet).
As you would expect, their low end extension is pathetic by normal sub standards. However, if you have a pair of small bookshelf speakers that could use some bass and want a sub you can fit under (or over!) your desk without encroaching on your legroom, these are an option worth looking at.
Under Harman/Infinities occasional deep discount marketing scheme, these are often available for under $300.

I have a pair and can say the build quality and finish is quite nice. The sound is a very good addition for my E41-B speakers.
This post is prompted because I found a review with pretty decent test data:

This is the same size cabinet as the Velodyne Micro-vee, but it looks like it provides better extension and flatter frequency response (using 8" nominal compared to 6.5" nominal woofer). Unfortunately the review does not test beyond 95db, so SPL is a question mark. I suspect the Velodyne excells in this area as the subs I have do not play nice if I crank them. However, one of them can easily accommodate my needs in the office.

    Cheers,
    Kurt
