REL Subwoofers
Had a conversation with a friend of mine that is putting
together a high end H/T system   they told him
"If your speakers can play to 50Hz We reccomend you set the subwoofer crossover to 30Hz"
SAY WHAT!!!!
They also told him the reason they dont publish inroom
SPL Levels for a givin frequency is that it not important information
SAY WHAT!!!!
Come on I mean if I am going to lay down $5000 on a sub
I better #### well know that it is able to reprodce
Frequency's at or around 25Hz at a SPL that I can feel and hear to say that Freq/SPL plots are irrelevant is
absolutely ludicrous Hey it might be a great sounding well rounded subwoofer but for $5000 it better #### well flap my pant legs if and when I want it too  Audiophile Companys
have forgoten that in Home Theater WOW effect is at least
50% of it  otherwise we would all have 13" TV's with our
mega buck audio systems
GET REAL !!!
Sad part is my bud is listening
