A couple members around here figured it was about time the Northwest had a major meet.

So I'm proud to announce the official:
Audioholics Oregon Coast Get Together or GTG

That's right, we're leaving our comfy little boxes on the East Coast to travel to the beautiful
Oregon Coast.

Thanks to the extremely generous offer of Average Joe to open his brand new home to us and allow such an event.
(even after Loserwife had a chance to speak to Joe's wife)

The official event date will be
Saturday October 10th

Advance setup will be on Friday October 9th

Sunday October 11th will be held open for an additional day of listening and equipment breakdown.

It will be held in the quaint Central Oregon Coast town of Lincoln City:
http://www.oregoncoast.org/home.php

This event will primarily focus on floorstanding/tower speakers.

All attendees are welcome to bring their own speakers and gear.

Please feel free to send me a PM for more information or to sign up for the event. Be sure to include your real name, what town you're traveling from and what gear you plan on bringing in the PM. I will keep you informed of event updates and help you with any arrangements if needed.

For those of you driving from outside the area, please be sure to include what town you are coming from.
I'm quite sure there may be some who would like to work out carpools.

It's official! :D I've been getting leaked information about this for a few months now, and fully intend on making the trip up the coast from SoCal. (I sent you a PM over at AC) Looking forward to this event! :D

Cheers,
Greg

That's a far tour for myself, especially with all the things I have going on at home, so even though I can't make it I'd like to add I'm happy to see an Audioholics meet come together.

A big thanks for all those who took the time to set this up, the kind gentlemen who offered his private home up for the event and of course the event sponsors.

Here's hoping one happens sometime in the future on the eastern side of the continent for the rest of us to attend. Have a great time guys.

Cheers.

Actually, we have Audioholics events almost every year down here in Florida. Last year I held a pretty decent sized event in my home.
http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44262

And then you have to include the big Audioholics SOTU Events:

http://www.audioholics.com/news/trade-show-coverage/audioholics-show-report

Just volunteer your home and I'm quite sure we could fill it with hungry Audioholics

This will be the first time an event has made it to the West Coast.

Don't lie you bribed him with new speakers.:p
HA! After hearing some of the Stud Speakers that are going to be at the GTG, Joe is going to have to come up with some nifty scheme to con Mrs. AverageJoe that she NEEDS for them to buy more new ones.

Hmmm, maybe I should go armed just so I can protect those HT4's! Yeah, that's it....I'll protect them! ;)
