Output into 5 channels simultaneously on the 3805 is between 77 and 95 watts, depending on which bench test you trust. The 120 watt per channel rating is correct, but for one or two channels only.

SFguy: The acustics need to be changed in the room, but also which of these receivers is, "warmer". Rotel, Denon or Marantz? Sorry to get off course, but perhaps this could yield some valuable response.

IMO, the Marantz has the least sibilance set to flat. The issue I have with Marantz is some of their entry to mid level units do not have a built in eq, so balancing out the room is a bit harder if you like to tweak the sound.
Rotel is known for a very crisp, clear sound. A lot depends on your room and speakers. Denon falls somewhere in between, but with a lot of flexibility to enhance or tone down the highs, as well as muddy bass.
