Default Coming brighter on and off....

Hi everyones, First thing first, Merry Christmas ! Wish Santa bring you the goodie you ask for .

Simple question that most of the "Guru" probably know the ansewer of my problem. I just came back from 10 days vacation, all happy to be back in my home theater, so I "pop" a DVD in the player, and lite up my X1 projector. After few minute I realise that the picture slowly go a bit bighter for a 1 secound than lower for a secoud and keep doing this continously. My lamp is just under 1000 hours (but 3 years old); and my DVD player is a Sony NS725p.

So do I have a DVD player problem or a Projector problem ?

Thanks

Cool

It sound like the lamp may be on its last leg. The problem may get better with more constant use but only you will be able to say whether or not the lamp has dimmed considerably since you purchased the projector. If you have calibrated the projector your self over the year, you should have noticed that you had to turn the brightness and contrast up over this period of time to compensate for its dimming over time. How far have you had to adjust the picture from when you purchased it?
