Can somebody can tell me why the DENON DVD-9000 it's so expensive compare with the Pioneer Elite DV 59-Avi and Yamaha DVD-S2300?

I am using a sony vlp - projector on a 10ft screen, I need a new dvd player.
I am demoing a pioneer dv 59 , waiting for a s2500. Does anyone now what is
the better player for my situation? thanks

the 9000 is an older model, released at the end of 2002. other than weighing 40 pounds, it's not really top-of-the-line any more.

the Denon 5910, which costs about 50 % more ($1600 versus the $1100 ish for the one store I found still selling the 9000) is a top of the line as discussed in this thread

the 5900 includes the Teranex video processor, normally only available in the $ 30,000 plus type equipment.

either would seem to be overkill if bought today, as BlueRay or HD-DVD will probably make them basically obsolete by the end of the year...
