Sub Amp Problem or Fluke?

Yesturday, I noticed my SW was not kicking on from "auto-on" position. I switched it to the "on" position still nothing. I finally got it to kick in after turning the volume up close to reference level. Since then, it has been behaving as it usual has.
Could the amplifier have the beginnings of a problem? Was this a fluke?
I have an Epik Phoenix that is about 6 months old.

Was your receiver's Sub trim reduced for some reason... (kids/ pets/ maid dusting/ ghosts)? It almost sounds like the input sensing circuitry was not detecting a signal on the input.

Intermittent issues may become bigger persistent issues if left unaddressed. I recommend contacting the manufacturer.

Electronics can act funny sometimes but if all your settings are correct and it is working fine now then don't lose any sleep over it and just wait and see if the problem returns. If it does then call CS.

Thanks guys.....all my settings were undisturbed. If it occurs again, I will be contacting Epik
