They are indeed all metal except for the red/black plastic color bands. The outer jackets are in direct contact with the copper wire.

thanks for the link. i ordered the max as well. i was originally using the open screw type and did not like the speaker wire extruding from the sides. made for a tight fit when additional wires were right next to them.

Here's a pdf showing instructions+pictures of the locking banana plugs. They look very nice, but I can't justify spending more than the $.97 for monoprice plugs.

get the ones with locking screws. You can also get locking screw banana plugs from Unique Prodicts Online. http://www.uniqueproductsonline.com/lobapl12pa6p.html

First, I like monoprice and have bought a lot of audio equipment from them including their banana plugs which are good. However, even though they cost more I like the double screw locking banana plugs much better.

Good Luck!

The look very close to the same product. ( Bluejean cables might even be OEMing them from Unique ) I bought and I am using the Unique screw banana products. I have not had actual experience with bluejeanscables banana plugs, however bluejeanscable is a very quality company and I have no doubt you would be pleased with their locking banana plugs.

So I guess my answer it it is a toss-up. I don't think you could go wrong either way
