Standby or leave power on?

I will soon be receiving a Musical Fidelity A5 integrated amp. The remote does not have a power on/off function. I've become very used to turning my equipment on and off with a remote. I'm sure I can get used to turning it on and off manually however, I've heard different opinions on whether it's better to leave an amplifier on all the time or to keep it in standby when not in use. Would it be alright to leave the A5 on all the time?

You can leave it on if you don't mind the higher electric bill. It won't matter if you turn it off but you won't waste energy if you do.

If you want, you can buy a great meter called Kill-A-Watt, not too expensive, very accurate, to check what components draw while in standby or on modes, can see what computers run the same way, or anything else in the house. Then you can multiply by 24 hrs 365 days, etc

wow...how can one say leave power on.? are you not aware of the motor running and killing you with heavy power consumption leaving behind ugly power bills?

If you don't mind paying for the electric I am sure you can leave your unit on standby. I had one poweramp which was ON (not on standby) for 25 years and only unplugged when moving and amp was fine.
