I saw the extended preview that FOX aired (in conjunction with it's presentation on the new big screens at Cowboy's Stadium) yesterday at around 1. I guess this movie was presented at comic-con earlier this year, but I for one have to say I am thrilled with the prospects. I guess it will be a little over 3 hours long, and I suppose it has a lot of elements shared by other movies, Return of the Jedi, Dances with Wolves, The Last Samurai, but the artwork is beautiful in what I've seen, and unlike the Michael Bay slopfests of late, there seems to be some real story and cinematography in this one:

Saw the preview also this past week and I have to admit when the preview first started I thought it was the Halo movie. I will be seeing this in the theater.

I have to say that I am really looking forward to seeing this one. The preview just looks stellar!!!!! However, I must say that I truly am a Sci-fi junkie. Movies like this, really are nothing short of being a "MUST SEE" for guys like me.........LOL!!!!!!!! If all else fails, there are always Chick-Flicks.........hehe!!!!!!
Cheers,
Phil

This movie might be real good or real bad. The idea is interesting, but the aliens look a little too much like Jar Jar Binks for me. I hope I'm wrong 'cuz I'm in the mood for an epic sci-fi flick

Hmmm. I guess I am probably in the minority when I say I have been completely underwhelmed by the hype and trailers for this movie. I won't rush judgment on it, but as of now, I doubt the crappy theater in my town will get the wife's 18 bucks (yeah, she made me start calling it her money since I haven't been getting paid )...

I downloaded the newest 720P trailer a few days ago and played it on my HT system - WOW! This newest trailer is awesome, can't wait to see the movie in 3D which is what the big deal is about for this release - new 3D presentation technology. Most anticipated movie of the year for me.

James Cameron (love his work) has been working on this movie for 15 years. And total production costs estimated ~$500 million. One would expect a lot from this one... a hell of a lot.
