Is it all really only about the money?

Sadly, for the most part, yeah, it is.
But who are we looking to blame here? The NFL itself? The players? Us for subscribing to the NFL network and HD 200 games on at the same time premium cable packages? Or should we blame the NCAA? (Personally, my favorite target is the SEC).
The point is; like it is not, that's the way it is. That's football today. Not as Bad as the NBA, Not as doomed as MLB, but like it or not, ***** as much as you like, that's the way the game is played.

I had lots of beer last night, to much, but No Wings!!
I think that's why the Packers lost. I didn't make wings. Note to self........
Hahaha.

Speaking of superstitions, for the first two weeks of the playoffs I spent the day of the Giants game unshowered, unshaved, and watching the game in my pajamas underwear (much more easily done when you don't have kids and your girlfriend is a football fan herself). So despite being invited to several parties and outings yesterday all I did was sit at home, no special meals or drinks, and watched the game in my dirty pajamas. Guess I know how I'll be spending the super bowl.... anybody want to come over?? :D

I had my Giants visor on, and turned it around, and upside down like a rally cap. I could turn it back around till they won. :D

I like this for the Superbowl.

Brady wearing walking cast while on visit to New York

"Ah, you know, there's always bumps and bruises. I'll be ready for the Super Bowl," Brady said. "I'm not worried about that. I'm not missing this one. I'd have to be on a stretcher to miss this one. There will be treatment this week. In games like this, you get a little nicked up. It's nothing serious."

Ladainian Tomlinson read this. This is a statement from a true champion with heart.

Caption should have read: "Tom Brady on his way to a booty call @ Gisele's house"

First of all his name is Ladainian Tomlinson. Not LT.

The real LT (Lawrence Taylor) wouldn't have stayed on the bench all nice, and warm inside his coat. The real LT if injured, would have at least been on the side lines encouraging his team, not sitting in the back on a heated bench.

At the beginning just before the game. Ladainian Tomlinson was talking about having "Heart" in a taped interview. He had no heart yesterday, and left his team in a time of need.

What a F'in Puss.
You can go ahead and glorify your coke-head hero as much as you want. But Ladainian Tomlinson will always be ther real LT to me. Jesus, if nothing else his name is just too damn long to say.

What I think was going on, is that LT was so embarassed and ashamed to not be on the field on Sunday, that he couldn't stand to show his face. Would I rather that he be doing something to help his team out? Of course. But I sure as hell can understand how he felt.

Eli Manning, now there's a serious PUSS. That guy's about the biggest tool I've ever seen.

Ladainian Tomlinson = LT

Funny pic. But I like the one of drunk Eli better.

I still don't condone LT not doing something on the sidelines to help his team, but I started Googling and found a number of running backs that missed a number of games due to a strained MCL. This season, I saw that Brandon Jacobs missed 3 games and Justin Fargas was lost for the last 2 games of the season. Larry Johnson missed the last 8 games of 2004 with a strained MCL. And others like Cedric Benson, Fred Taylor and so on missed a number of games over the years due to a strained MCL.

LT jacked his MCL and tried to play the next week. I think that's pretty damn gutsy, and does show that he has heart.

Other might have missed games. But they didn't sit out in one of the biggest games of their career. He may never be in that position again to make it to the Superbowl. It wasn't a regular season game.

I don't understand what people wanted Tomlinson to do on the sidelines.

As for the people saying he should have played: I want to see you run with a sprained MCL. I've sprained my MCL and it's *murder*.

With posts such as this, we're all going to think you're a Playgirl reader Darien. I think an explanation is in order. :p
Whats even more disturbing is that you quoted the post and didn't leave the photo out.

Dude, there is NO way he was going to be able to play and be effective in that game. You say you played football. Did you ever play on artificial turf with a strained MCL!?!? LT is a slashing style running back, that relies on his ability to make cutbacks and accelerate quickly. NO ONE can do that with a strained MCL!!!

You're obviously biased against LT and are not going to give him any credit, no matter what, so it's beyond pointless to argue with you.
