Nice. Koenigsegg is a pretty cool car.

Yeah, let's replace a functional hood scoop with some useless lights...

of course. engine cooling vs. striking fear in criminals. fair trade :)

It doesn't really have the lights, does it? Cause I didn't see any... Was that a mockup? He needs lights. Transformers don't need a moving mouth but they have 'em... lol.

Dave my experience with both is dubious to say the least, my dad gave me as a graduation present a 1980 Z-28 loaded to the gills, at 20,000 miles the harmonic damper started to rub on the timing gear cover, the carb started to go south, the tranny was making strange sounds, so I traded it in for a 1981 Corvette, that was the year when GM in it's infinite wisdom unleashed on the public the three Cs from hell, Computer, Command, Control, I had to get rid of the Vette with 9000 miles on the ticker, it would turn itself off for no reason, the roof leaked, electrical gremlins all over, so I traded it for an 82 Datsun 280ZX, one of the best cars I've ever owned, till my dad borrowed it and neatly wrapped it around a light post, luckily no one was hurt, ZXs like 911s had semi-trailing rear arm suspension so if you went into a curve fast and stepped hard on the brakes the rear would break and you would spin, this is a great feature if you know how to use it.
Over the years, I've had 2 Camaros and 6 Mustangs going back as far as my '77 Mustang II. The only one of the bunch I would ever want back is my '02 Camaro SS. I put over 80 dragstrip passes on that car netting a best 13.21 bone stock with no mechanical issues of any kind. All the North American auto manufacturers have come a long way since the sad days of the late '70s and early '80s. No manufacturer can afford to launch a product as poor as they had back then.

I hope that they're headed for a renaissance. If Ford does get out of Wall street, as they say they are in order to build cars and not worry about investors they'll need cutting edge designs and jettison marketing and focus groups, let the young designers be creative. If you build a good looking and performing car it will sell itself, the problem starts when you want to build a mass-appeal "product" instead and base it on the input from a think tank, that equals failure. Ferrari, Rolls, Jag, Lambo don't worry about focus groups, yet their cars always sell, they let their designers go to town.

Brings back memories. I never did like the "bowling ball" wheels though.

Did you guys see the episode of Mythbusters where they drove a Camaro into the back of a semi? Cool.

Yup, though I thought it was lame for them to try that, it had been done before. Cooler was the car with rocket pack welded to the roof.

What a joke. They used a cheap muscle car to represent "state of the art". There isn't even a glowing red light on the front of the car like the old one. That can't be official.

I have to agree. There is only one KITT, and there will always be only one KITT. I grew up watching Knight Rider, and even had an old Big Wheel that was shaped to look like the front end of the original car. The plastic handlebar even had a "dashboard" built into it to represent the original console. I LOVED that thing - hell, I WAS Michael Knight when I cruised around the neighborhood with it!

It never talked back to me though...
