Does L/R bypass disable downsampling on the mains?

Yep, I was talking about one of the curve selectors. Been searching the internet for sometime now without a hit. May have to do as you suggest and email the manufacturer.

Does L/R bypass disable downsampling on the mains?

I believe Auddessey downsamples the signal to say 48khz, to match onboard processor limitations. Does anyone have any insight whether enabling L/R bypass also passes the signal to the mains without downsampling, as Auddessey on the mains are disabled?

6 of the Best Flagship AV Receivers Compared for 2018!

I have a similar issue with my PS4 and marantz 7702mkii. Hdmi sound and video intermittently disconnect. Got so bad that it totally stop working. Switched to a different hdmi port on the MKii, that seem to work only for a while, then the drops started again. Seem to have something with the PS4...

    Help with upgrade

I do listen to electronic stuff like Beats Antique, Bass Nectar, Amon Tobin that get down low, though I have never verified how low they go. My main reason for wanting to get close to 20hz is because of movies. I don’t watch a lot of movies, when I do I like a good rumble.

    Help with upgrade

Impressive, audioholics have it flat down to 20hz, Even in sealed mode. Size is also impressive! Given the size of my room, do u think one of these may do, especially if place close to my mains, on the same wall, to help integration, and minimize localization?

    Help with upgrade

I currently have a polk psw 505 and klipsch r112sw (both ported). I want to upgrade to matching subs because the capabilities of my current subs are quite different. I am leaning toward sealed because I listen to about 90% music and I am trying to keep the size of the subs to a minimum. I am...

Monoprice Monolith Unveils 10", 12" and 15" THX Ported Subwoofers

Thanks for the the very informative graph and reply. I do listen to quite a bit of of bass heavy electronic music. But what I am really interested in is a subwoofer to round out my system to at least 20hz for movies. Currently I have a klipsch R-112sw, rated at 24hz. I am interested in the...

Do floor standing speakers even make sense when used with a sub?

I would say towers are only necessary for folks that want to keep it all analog, with no conversion to digital for bass management. In that case you would need decent low end for records and such. Though I suppose one could employ some kind of analog crossover or dedicated analog 2.1 preamp...

What are some really good values in speakers?

Thanks for you detailed reply. I find the subject matter very interesting, and I hope be that more knowledgeable with regard to future purchases. The RP-150m, which I believe you mentioned earlier, has 5.25 woofer, and a one inch tweeter with horn/waveguide. The RP-150m is crossed over at...

What are some really good values in speakers?

Would having two or more woofers mitigate beaming in a two way design, and perhaps allow for a higher crossover?

What does the -/+ 3 for speakers measure?

I though I understood what -/+3 meant, but while reading a review for a sub (SVS SB 2000), the commentator stated something to the effect that: the output below 30hz drops off by about 10db. However the sub is rated at -3 at 19 hz. How can that be? If the output drops off at 30hz by 10db...

    Adding subs 3&4.

I don’t know much about subs, but I do have some experience using mismatched subs. One of my two subs is much more much capable than the other. Auto setup had a hard time with this, increasing the trim on the less capable sub into distortion. I had to dial each back to -11, and instead use the...

Opinion on Buying a Polk psw505, or Bic Woofer

I own a 505. I would not recommend it. The SVS PB1000 is 499, comes with in home trial period. It gets stellar reviews. If you buy the 505, I suspect you will want to upgrade soon. I don't think you would be able to recoup your investment in the 505. Raising your Budget a tad is actually...

Bounce Speakers - How hot to set the level?

Can't remember where I read this, but I recall that dolby acknowledges that the setup microphone typically picks ups sound that is not refracted from the ceiling, and erroneously lowers trim beyond optimum. I would assume adjusting manually with a microphone may yield the same result. In my...

    HIFI WIFI Streaming?

I would recommend giving amazon music unlimited try. I have had Spotify premium for a feels months, and I always listened with m-Dax enabled on the receiver, it artificially boost the high and low end. Without m-Dax enabled, the lows seemed anemic on Spotify. I took advantage of a free trial...
