They're not MTM speakers (D Appolito) and I can't imagine directivity being all that good with no forward facing woofer below the crossover and being passive I'm not sure how much cardioid effect it will display. Id like to see measurements of them.

You would to at least double the power to have a noticable difference in output. Depending on your speakers, you may not need a power amp. Typically we use very little "watts", 1 or 2 at normal listening levels,, depending on how much headroom you need. Spl calculator is an easy place to start...

I haven't ever had an issue with them so I can't speak to their CS, hopefully it gets worked out. Denon, Marantz, and all their sister brands use accessories for less as their B stock, refurbished products, just an FYI.

Glad you got it all working and continue enjoying them! They are a well designed speaker from the two KEF guys that came over to Harmon, Andrew Jones and Laurie Fincham. Floyd Toole uses them without the subwoofers attached and suspended from the ceiling, IIRC, in his living room theater.

Turn off auto sense and make sure the power is on. It's possible that the auto sense isn't working properly. The large+lfe setting will get you bass and the .lfe channel when present. After those things you'd have to pull the amp and have it tested. Those are some nice speakers, worth fixing...

Are both not working? Do you have the speakers set to Large+LFE? Is the auto sense turned on or off?

Just note with Hypex and all amps for that matter, make sure the gain settings match up to your preamp ouput. Most *Hypex/Purifi* manufacturers offer different opamps to meet your particular needs.
