    Pre-out voltage output

Hi Gene, Would you advise on how I can measure the pre-out voltage on my yamaha RX-A3060 to see if I’m getting more than 1V? Thanks

    Paradigm Prestige 2000sw

Thanks. Any advise the dB that I should see when set at 12o’clock I’m hearing around the high 70’s when I run PBK.

    Paradigm Prestige 2000sw

I leave the knob set to 80hz on the sub, I’ll try putting it to bypass and see what happens.

    Paradigm Prestige 2000sw

Has anyone tested the prestige 2000sw, can anyone explain the 12hz DIN? Does the low pass filter (35Hz to 150Hz) mean anything when the AV receiver controls the sub?

    YAMAHA RX-A3060 vs Onkyo TX-RZ1100

Sorry to repeat but here is what Gene said when I asked the question since they actually do testing on amplifiers: "Audioholics The low end Aventage barely puts out 1.5Vrms unclipped. It's really unfortunate. Denon/Marantz preouts I've tested in the past put out 4Vrms unclipped. Check the gain...

    Yamaha RX-A3060 vs Pioneer VSX-90

Yamaha is good but pre-out voltage is only 1V maybe a bit more. If you plan to use an external amp consider the preamp voltage. Denon/Marantz provide much more preout voltage. Martin Logan 60XT, 50XT, FX, Dynamo 1000, 500 Yamaha RX-A3060 Denon 2313CI

    YAMAHA RX-A3060 vs Onkyo TX-RZ1100

Go with Denon if you plan to use external amps. I had Denon 2313ci, tried x4200w then went to Yamaha RX-A3060 thinking it's better... recently learned the pre-out voltages are low on Yamaha. The 3060 is an ok AVR, Denon has way more features and it sounded more full in my perspective. Trust me...

    Denon AVR-X4200W vs. Denon AVR-X4300H

I ended up getting the X4200w cause I got it for $969 cdn. Tested it out and it was good but the antenna was loose out of the box, software required some power cycling when connecting to wifi. After reading so many debating I was thinking to try Yamaha, so now I went and got the Yamaha RX-A3060...

    Denon AVR-X4200W vs. Denon AVR-X4300H

EQ does matter but I'm looking for stability as well. Denon puts down on paper their amp can handle 4 ohm load but Yamaha doesn't, does it really matter? If anyone is using Martin Logans please advise what amp you use, specially the motion 60XT speakers along with the 50XT centers. Thanks

    Denon AVR-X4200W vs. Denon AVR-X4300H

I'm in the same debate on upgrading from a Denon 2313CI to the X4200W since it's on sale in Canada. Some people say Yamaha is better but is it really? Does anyone have the X4200W that can provide feedback? Yamaha doesn't state it can handle 4 ohms for all channels, my Martin Logans are all 4 ohms.
