    Headphones

Don't have active noice canceling but the closed design offers quite good noise insulation and these offer really good sound quality for their price. https://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-DT-770-32-Professional/dp/B07KX8BZC8/

Need recommendation for portable MP3 Player

You can use it for either file storage or streaming, which ever works better for you. I haven't used mp3 player for maybe 10 years. Instead I have thousands of flac files on my phone always with me.

    What is your favorite source

I use the MMX300 most (7 hours a day at office) as they have pretty nice sound and are always ready for meetings and calls. Also have been using them for gaming lately as well, used to use HD600 for gaming before for their good positional imaging, but for some reason have shifted to MMX300. For...

    What is your favorite source

If you want a speaker like experience with headphones you need to look at Stax headphones, they come with their own amplifiers and quite high price tag. Of course you don't get the chest slamming bass, but otherwise the experience is really close.

Best budget over ear open-back headphones for less than $150

At that price they are a steal! :D

    Oppo 203 4k dvd player

I'm not sure what you are referring to with your price as 203 is right now available on ebay for 500-1000$ and even 205 is under 2000$. Your message is still up in the topic, not deleted. Age is not a concern in some products, even electronics. You can find many old amplifiers too, that have...

    Oppo 203 4k dvd player

Your calculation is right for electronics in generally. Here you are talking about one of the best blu-ray players ever made, which now are discontinued. If you would look for ebay sold listings, you see that these players sell for 350-1000$.

Best budget over ear open-back headphones for less than $150

HD600 are definitely a better headphone than HD599, but I can't say they are twice the better. At least here the HD600 costs twice as much. HD600 has better staging, imaging and slightly more neutral tone to them. HD599 are great headphones for their price, so it pretty much comes to how much...

    Headphones for aerobic walks

Comfort is really subjective as your head and preferences are different. To find out what is most comfortable to you, it would be best to go local audio shop and try different models.

    Recommendation for Wired Headphones

I would look for Beyerdynamic DT 770, slightly over your budget, at least the pro version should be around 150$, but I think they are worth the extra 50$.

Upgrading my Cloud 2s for a max of $230 debating between HD58x and AD700X. Usage is 50% gaming and 50% music. No Amp at least for now

I would pick the Sennheiser HD58X as they should offer neutral and accurate sound. Haven't heard that specific model personally, but I have heard many Sennheiser models and they are really good for the value.

Why do gamers often not care about the audio part of their rigs?

Audio is important in games as well, might not be true for all games but at least for some it is. And I think for the past years gaming companies have been improving a lot in the audio field. For some competitive games it gets even more important as with good heaphones with good staging and...

Why do gamers often not care about the audio part of their rigs?

Most likely most are victims of gaming brand marketing and unaware that there would be better options than what the gaming companies highly promote. Gaming headphones can easily cost 200-300€ and for that price you can already get good pair of headphones and microphone. Though not all of those...

    Headphones in 20 years?

Many headphones from 20 years ago still hold fast if you solely consider sound quality, so I don't really see how the audio has come a long way from there? I think you might mean noise canceling and what not, but those don't really have anything to do with sound quality. And yes, there are some...

Dyson Noise Cancelling Air Purifying Headphones - Are They Serious?

Looks like they could be from some 80's scifi film. Quite utopistic concept, but maybe Dyson has a crystal ball which have shown them the future. I doubt they will succeed selling many of those as those look and sound so absurd.

EPOS Sennheiser Game Zero Gaming Headset Review

If you think good quality closed back headphones would be enough for background noise then I would suggest Beyerdynamic MMX 300. I have been using these 8 hours a day the past 1.5 years and I can highly recommend them for office work. For me they have been sufficient for blocking background...

Headphone Choice and what to Look for

With your budget I would look for the Beyerdynamics DT990 if you prefer slightly more bass or if you like more neutral sound then Sennheiser HD600. If you like hevier bass and can find a good deal then possibly Denon AH-D5200 could fit in budget as well.
