    first, i really do appreciate all of the feedback and suggestions regarding the repositioning of the TV etc...I have friend coming over to take a look on Monday to see if we can lower the mantle on the fireplace...so we will how that goes, and this will help with the WAF now, just a few more...

    the challenge with our fire place, is that the mantle on top is very elevated, once you place the center speaker, then the TV ontop, it would be about 5 to 6' off the floor

    ok, so when I input the numbers in that niles tool, with my three interior rooms though the total number of speakers is (6), all i enter is (3) speakers at 8 ohms for the one channel, then for the outdoor speakers i simply enter 2 for one channel etc...alright now this makes sense...sorry "new"...

    interesting, first thank you for your response... Previous to this, my original set of speakers on this AVR were Polk TSI series, all bookshelf etc...so getting a separate amp really didn't seem reasonable... Once I upgraded to these energy speakers, now I am working with more robust power...
