monitor 7 just paid 750 for v4 and another (2x25) :cool: :D 50.00 bucks for shielding. i have two dealers near me and both charged the same.

i was also looking at the polk (rti8) but i found the paridigm monitor 7's more to my liking plus i believe the 7's are smaller than the rti10's. :)

well the monitor 7 won out however i had to get the shielded pair. i couldn't get the speaker within 6 inches without the tv colors going crazy !! very,very happy with them. :D

i have an existing outlet with a cable wall plate and i'm looking for a wall plate to allow for speaker wire also. do they make such a beast ??? tia

threewheel-check the specs but i think it's for current only and not voltage so u may need the voltage also. i work for a utility co and they sell a package that is inline at the meter and i believe 2 outlet strips. ;)

t thanks again....btw is there a web site with a discription of how to shield the speaker? "to the side" is actually 4 inches, my tv has speakers mounted vertically on the side so maybe they will provide protection. space is not a factor for the speakers but for tower speakers WAF is !!! :D

would like to get the monitor 7 in rosewood but they only come shielded in black. :(

zumbo the speakers i have now, small B&W, will only cause the discoloration when the speaker is about 2 inches from the crt however when placed to the side there is no problem. my concern is with the tower speakers i'm planning on buying. tv is sony 36hs500

has anyone had a problem placing nonshielded speakers next to their tv & does the flux increase with volume ?? :confused:

zumbo u are correct the paradigm monitors r very nice. just got back from the audio store in newington ct, wow do they have some great gear. one set of speakers cost 40k!!! right now "7" is the lucky number but i would still like to hear the s6. :D

tried b&w 603 (850.00) & cm4 (1350.00) today. only diff was 603 bass, the "box" came out while the cm4 stayed hidden. monitor audio store was closed today will try later this week. tomorrow will see if i can order & try the monitor 7 for a few days. zumbo i do like the polk rti8 the...
