    New to me

Purchased a new SVS SB 2000 sub today, actually I ordered it through a Best Buy Magnollia store locally to prevent it from being either left on my porch, dropped and damaged and most importantly stolen from my porch. It is replacing a B & W ASW 600 that developed a rattle when playing and...

What New Stuff Have You Bought? If You Care To Share Thead! :)

New battery and charger for my 2008 MacBook Pro. And the movie (blu ray of course) Fury. I really enjoyed it, being retired military and a long time lover of military movies. Sound was awesome, storyline livable, acting could have used some help but I expected that.

New 60 inch Samsung plasma: how do I avoid burn in?

Image retention is still an issue, at least with my Panasonic. I have had the panel replaced once because of it. I purchased the Disney "WOW" Blu ray and use the pixel flipper frequently. For me the worst retention comes from the History channel (what I watch the most I know) and one of the...

    Pink Floyd - Endless River.

I totally agree with not being able to pass on my all time favorite bands newest album release. I came home to day after school to find my package from Amazon on my front porch. It is currently spinning in my Oppo and I am definitely enjoying the music. No it is not the Floyd of years ago, but...

    Jim's system

New Mountain bike in the house. Well, new to me. I once again broke a frame, this time the Carbon Fiber Camber Pro. Right at the bottom of the seat post. Warrantied again of course, ended up with the exact same frame as I have before except now it's clean, again. Instead of using some of the...

What New Stuff Have You Bought? If You Care To Share Thead! :)

A new Bottom Bracket to replace a newer bottom bracket that had very few miles on it but developed a horrible creaking noise recently and yes for the same bike I put the Wolf Tooth single chain ring on. The creak was there before the replacement but got worse. Previous bracket was $30, new...

Why are people still buying CD players?

Inconvenient way of listening to my favorite music. Of course it does "remind" me of the old days with albums and turntables. For most listening I just use Pandora, not fine quality but plenty of music I either don't own, forgot I own or have never heard.
