The Marantz SR6013 9.2CH 4K Ultra HD AV Receiver with HEOS ($1,500 value) Giveaway is Here!

Although I love Denon, Marantz and Anthem, I’d have to be grateful and fair and choose my second receiver brand which was a Pioneer. That unit served me for well over a decade before switching to a Denon 6312 - which is still my current receiver. Now I need a unit with XT32, Sub EQ HT and preamp...

Help with 3 Energy S10.3 Subwoofers (fried fuses)

I know the voltage in these apartments seems to be a bit higher than normal. Not long ago I had someone over to check up on my inverter console and he noticed it was a “bit” higher than normal. But no casualties that I can remember so far besides that console. But they are not on the same...

Help with 3 Energy S10.3 Subwoofers (fried fuses)

Yes, maybe . We’ll see when the new fuses arrive. I bought a multimeter to check the voltage on my room’s power outlet, a ground loop isolator and the fuses to start searching for answers.

Help with 3 Energy S10.3 Subwoofers (fried fuses)

I have a one year old girl and I usually use my system at low to moderate levels which makes it pretty difficult for me to pinpoint a date when they stopped working. They were both connected to power and in auto-on mode.

Help with 3 Energy S10.3 Subwoofers (fried fuses)

All amplifiers were bought around one year apart from each other. I found that Sub #1 and Sub #2 had their fuses blown (I don’t know since when). I put the fuse from Sub #3 on one of the old ones (I think it was on Sub #1) and it blew in less than 3 minutes. I can understand that an amplifier...

Both at the same time? Wouldn’t this be a huge coincidence?

Help with 3 Energy S10.3 Subwoofers (fried fuses)

Houston, we have a PROBLEM!!!!! Long story short, I just bought and received my 3rd subwoofer (Energy S10.3) and when I was getting it ready, I noticed my two other subs (same brand and model) were not working. So I decided to open both subs and found that their fuses were dead (sub #11 & sub...

DIY speakers!... Are they worth it? (Rookie here so, be gentle)

A design from 2015 that I‘ve been following. Check it out: http://aespeakers.com/dougs-diy-td12m-seos12-dna-360-lcr-build/

DIY speakers!... Are they worth it? (Rookie here so, be gentle)

I’ve never done anything like this before and I’m thinking about something different. That is why I’m willing to hire someone to assemble them for me. I’m curious about how this design. I’m not sure if it would work with these speakers without limiting their performance instead of the...

DIY speakers!... Are they worth it? (Rookie here so, be gentle)

Hey, KEW, thanks for chiming in! As you already know, I’m particularly interested in the Denovo Elusive 1099 Kit for my home theater. I’ve been talking to Erich and he’s been really helpful answering all my questions. I was almost set to invest on the Elac Uni-Fi UF5 & UC5 from Crutchfield...

DIY speakers!... Are they worth it? (Rookie here so, be gentle)

I have been thinking of hiring someone with experience to build de cabinets to DIY Sound Group’s specifications (if I don’t buy the cabinets from them that is). I’m just trying to gauge the sound quality I could get from DIY vs regular branded speakers.

DIY speakers!... Are they worth it? (Rookie here so, be gentle)

They also sell crossover ready to install which solves that issue. I have been thinking of hiring someone with experience to build de cabinets to DIY Sound Group’s specifications (if I don’t buy the cabinets from them that is). I’m just trying to gauge the sound quality I could get from DIY vs...

DIY speakers!... Are they worth it? (Rookie here so, be gentle)

Ok, I’ve been talking to some folks and I have to admit that I’m officially intrigued by DIY Speakers. Ever since I saw these pictures from one of the members I’ve been thinking of experimenting myself - even though I have no experience on building speakers and or cabinets. I have no doubt they...

    Crown XLS-1502 -vs- Behringer NX-3000

That is right, my friend! In my particular case, my system is very old and those amps paired to a receiver with preamp-outs or a dedicated processor will definitely be a huge upgrade. Aside from that, to me, it is not just a matter of sounding better but to finally have a rack filled with...

    Crown XLS-1502 -vs- Behringer NX-3000

I’m not into 4K yet as my Optoma PJ is 1080p - which I’m still satisfied with. Upgrading to 4K is not on my radar and I don’t believe it will for quite some time. Maybe in 2-3 years when it becomes more acce$ible. Yes, I’d like to get something with Atmos. As for the speakers, I would love to...

    Crown XLS-1502 -vs- Behringer NX-3000

They do depending on what you buy and they usually do on the long run when you only have to upgrade one component like the preamp to keep up with the newer formats and not the whole thing. The latest good receivers like Denon and Marantz run somewhere between $1K - $1.5K (more or less). Right...

    Crown XLS-1502 -vs- Behringer NX-3000

I believe class D amps have come a long way and that is why I’m asking. Many people are buying the Crown amps and are very satisfied with them. This is my attempt to step into the separates realm for the first time and I’m trying to spend my limited funds wisely. Connectivity, power, fan noise...

    Crown XLS-1502 -vs- Behringer NX-3000

After MUCH search and debate, it seems the Crown XLS-1502 is not the dollar/watt king after all. To buy Crown or to buy Behringer? THAT is the question! What do you think, guys? Has anyone put those two against each other with their main speakers? - Crown XLS 1502 ($389.00) SPECS: * Power...

    JBL SP6CSII In-Ceiling Speaker Overview

A friend of mine has been looking for new in-ceiling speakers for a store he is opening next month. He is mainly interested on getting speakers capable of playing from medium to high volume and they also have to be white to match the ceiling. So, as a JBL fan, I suggested their SP6CSII which is...
