I would recommend the Teac NP-H750. I have one in my audio system, and I am listening to Aardvark Blues on internet radio as I type this. Perfect for a small listening room or office with its small size, and it weighs sixteen pounds. I haven't had no issues with mine.

Another recommendation for Ascend Acoustics CMT-340SE speakers with stands. My living room is 11ft wide x 14ft long. The CMT-340SE are very musical and the soundstage is very open and wide. These could work in any size room, and I don't think you would need a sub.
