I use my ps3 as CD player, movie player. Will connecting it to a DAC improve the sound? Have to use optical cables for sound as my reciever is a little old and doesn't take audio over HDMI

I have yet to see a review that says "these speakers, components, etc. suck" are the reviewers paid to review the products or scared to say that something doesn't live up to the price? Where could I go to find unbiased reviews, free of conflicts of interest.

Thoughts on this speaker? Liked it much more than Logan martins ESL. Other speakers in that price range? What about Aperions?
