Have you done the ps3 video setup?....also,i had a similar problem,i was only getting 720p output from ps3,going into receiver and out to tv,i unplugged tv and plugged it back in ,ran the ps3 video setup and it worked like i wanted it to,i got 1080p output...

Mummy returns,i got the mummy trilogy at walmart for 13 bucks ,its on dvd though,but these movies have decent bass,only DD track...

The movie 2012 ,on bluray,,with those catastrophic events ,has great surround..The movie salt,has one of the most real sounding explosions in it,it is awesome and loud,not a bad movie,i lioed it,it has angilina jolie...And the movie "Knowing" with nicholas cage,has some big time...
