I own the BS41's and think the Sony's sound much better. Very underrated speakers IMO. The Pioneers while very good are not nearly as good as the hype. I would much rather have some old Boston A series speakers or pretty much any ADS speaker if I was on a tight speaker budget.

It should be noted that some of the Russound amplifiers are made by Audiosource. It look's to be primarily the 2 channel amps though.

Another Update (I know it's been over a year.;)) Not Sure if anybody cares but this amp did act up again and shut down randomly. In the end my lazy ass never took it in for warranty service and picked up a Yamaha A-S500 integrated on sale. I have been happy ever since then. About a month or so...

I agree with the above as well. You really need commercial cinema speakers. You might want to also look at QSC, and Klipsch.

This review does not surprise me at all. I have very fond memories spending time in a couple of RSL stores. All of the RSL speakers where impressive. Especially the CG series. Which is what these speakers seem to be based on. I hope I get a chance to hear these some day.

Room acoustics are probably the biggest problem for the OP. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this. The speakers and the room they are placed in dictate 90% of what you hear. If you don't like the sound change the room acoustics and speaker placement. If this does not solve the problem change...

Thanks. I used a ten foot optical cable for several years with no issue. I might just give optical a try since shielding is a non issue.

I have read optical can have issues with higher resolution 24/96/192 files over longer distances so I decided to try coax with good shielding. It seemed to be the most common. If I have issues I can try optical. Thanks for the input.

Absolutely. Look at what kind of audio equipment is in most homes. It's cheap HTIB's and blue tooth speakers. I listed 5 companies with similar products yet you don't want to research this and look into these companies and the products they sell. I I'm done. Go troll somewhere else.
