In my experience it is boxes that vibrate and noisy ports that add in unwanted noise that can sound off on music. The settings on the sub and it's placement in the room dictate if it can blend nicely with the speakers. Almost any sub should be able to get a decent blend and not draw attention to...

20% larger, with 47% of the power. I think the ported alignment offers more of a hint at an output advantage. As long as my buddy gets one of these, we are going to do a comparison in the future. I expect the 15" ported box to win in output, but at what compromises if any.
