My now ex girl friend, threw a pizza pop and it hit the front of my speakers with the grills off!!! Lucky it hit beside the mid range driver and didn't hit it directly. Some did "splash" and hit the driver. What is a safe way to clean this driver? Thanks so much.

At higher volumes teh Yamaha cannot properly drive these speakers, yes. Thanks why Im buying new amps. The UPA-2 also cannot properly drive these speakers past 65% output...

I do understand 2x power can gain me only 3db but certainly if Im pushing my amps to stress levels and with transformer power capacities, this is not the main factor.

Honestly Im confused. Calibrated? nothing more than my ears and testing between using an equalizer and flat. My Yamaha RX-V1 is at full volume when it says 0bd, its in negative db.... The highest the RX-V1 goes and sounds great is about negative 25 db on its display....

Ive seen the light! I just thought, Id be a fool not to buy one of ese XLS1500s! The price!? And I can blind test it with myself and friends against my: Yamaha RX-V1, UPA-2 and my Brothers Plinius! At worst, I use the XLS1500 for somthing else! :)

Can you be more specific? Ive been on this site enough to know some swear by pro amps, but some do not. I willing to save and get what would work best for my speakers. But if I can use a processor and amps that are not a fortune that works for me....

I dont mind the hijack, because my speakers are very bright too. I do have a unusual listening room that is all cedar so I think some acoustic treatments will help also.... I have a feeling Ill be looking for a used higher end power amp but not sure yet. Any input for powering my PSB...

I only want help from someone who knows more than me. You are talking down to me and it is not required. AGAIN Again do you even know the speakers I have? They are not 10% THD at 100w!
