I agree with Sterling Shoote SACD sounds best in surround sound, would not waste my money on the these two overpriced over engineered components SA-10, PM10 Class D

I am faced withe same decision, however I am only interested in which one has the best sound. IMO Audyssey is just a gimmick and is totally useless, so I am inclined towards Yamaha which has won the EISA award.

B & O Class D I am completely allergic to all Class D amplifiers I have auditioned so far, these include Bel Canto, Flying Mole, Primare Rotel & even the Class AD Devialet. For me Class AB is easily the best both for SQ & value.

Corect I will only buy a power amp that is Class 1 3 pin mains input which is the standard mains wall socket in the UK.

I agree I found the Oppo 93 via HDMI to be not as good as the Sony BDP-1000ES . The latest Sony BDP-790 is much better value IMO. via HDMI tthere is no difference between the 93 &the 103 confirmed by Oppo Support.

Thanks for your reply but I get the impression that you have never heard the Rotel 1582 you support the dictum of the original Quad opinion that partly led to their demise, basically that all Class AB amplifiers operating within their limits will sound the same.

For Music No sub, most give overblown unnatural bass,OK for bass freaks get Floor Standing TLS speakers
