    Emotiva Fusion 8100 AV Reciver

I have two Emotiva products, an XDA-2 and a UMC-200. I am completely satisfied with both. I tried two Outlaw 975's before buying the UMC-200. Neither of the Outlaw's worked properly in my system.

    Pioneer HPM-100

If I've got it right the super tweeters use a polymer film and have no real voice coil. This would make checking them with a DVM invalid. They probably work just fine. From Wikipedia: HPM stands for “High Polymer Molecular”, in reference to its then newly-developed high polymer molecular...

    Remember Radio Shacks' Minimus 7

There is a pair of Minimus 7's in my current bedroom system. Those in the ad look a lot like them. On my pair the metal grill does not allow you to see the drivers like the picture. If you really want to know give www.audiokarma.org a look see. They are very well informed about "vintage" gear...

Does anyone on this site feel guilty

To them we are the poor! Those who get 7 figure bonuses for bankrupting a company surely don't think like us. I remember reading somewhere that Marie Antoinette really didn't say that. No matter, she's stuck with the credit for it.

Lorin Maazel and the Cleveland Telarc DG-10054. It's the only one I have on vinyl. My man cave is so dark this crappy digital camera I have doesn't work properly. I intend posting some shots as soon as I get a new camera. They're Acoustat Spectra 22's with DIY El-Pipe-O subs.

Does anyone on this site feel guilty

It's quite easy to misunderstand and be misunderstood in this venue. There's a lot of that going around everywhere. After trying to converse with "Lamont Sanford" over at Stereophile's site my skin has gotten rather thick. In person you probably don't hear "smile when you say that pardner". Mr...

UK Family has HT Kit Confiscated over Noise Complaints

I wonder if what they were playing was a factor? Neal Diamond singing "sweet Caroline" or fity cent saying "I walk in the bar with my d**k in my hand". If it was fity make them a guest of the city! Just kidding. I live in a row house and try to be considerate of my neighbors. Could it be they...

If you dont use it, you lose it...

I feel for ya! Can't say I've experienced what you're going through. I guess I'm just lucky. At 61 I try to use it as much as possible. Most of my fellow "oldies" have lost it. I feel for them too.

    UN-Official Formula 1 Thread

Been a F1 fan since I was 9. A neighbor who had a Lotus 7 he built from a kit took me to my first F1 race (of any kind) at Silverstone. Fangio won driving a Ferrari. It was 1956.

Does anyone on this site feel guilty

For your information I was a medic. I got shot at without being able to shoot back. Trying to make up for being rude arrogant and narrow minded by continuing to make personal comments about me is rather juvenile. Maybe you should have spent more time in India building bridges or whatever. My...

    I need some help... again...

Speakers are not "powerful". Some are more efficient than others. Meaning they need less power for a given output level (volume). Speakers have power handling capacity. Some can handle more power (Watts) than others.

    Bipolar vs. Planar

Try em! You've got nothing to loose. If you don't like em send em back. They are kind of bass shy. They need a subwoofer much more than the other larger models.

I did not like the sound of my new infinity primus 162?

What bit rate were the MP3 files ripped at? Is it possible that low bit rate MP3's are showing their nastiness? Just a thought.

I did not like the sound of my new infinity primus 162?

Soundright: I hope you get your problem straightened out. Other posters have already given some good advice. My advice is: Never, never, never buy a pair of speakers unless you have had a chance to hear them first. Reviews are what other people think. What matters is what you think. You just...

I should have been more specific. I knew you didn't feel guilty and was agreeing with you. If being proud of having served my country makes me a reactionary pig then so be it. It's pigs like me that make it so that jerks like you are able to speak like you do. If you don't think you're better...
