Thanks ARES24. I read through your thread again and it looks like you constructed your center channel from scratch. I more or less followed the plans provided in the Meniscus Audio kit. The braces were not the correct dimension though so look out for that if anyone else does the same thing.

I know it's not the popular thing to do but how about forgoing the center channel (for now) and build a set of front firing ER18's (dome tweeter version), mini statements or The Finalists (new from Jim Holtz and Curt Campbell for just a little outside your budget range?

If you look at the diagram, it shows the drivers wired in parallel, not in series. The resistance adds differently.
