Is this a good deal - 3 12" Sunfire true subwoofer Jrs

I've heard good things about the HSU - I've got two SVS pb12-plus/2 -- they are awesome, but massive. I think my pricing is abit unclear....its $300 each and he's got 3 of them - so $900 total. I guess if the HSU is comparable and $300 new -- looks like I could use my money better there...

Is this a good deal - 3 12" Sunfire true subwoofer Jrs

I've got a guy here locally willing to split ways with 3 subs - the sunfire true sub Jr in the 12s. Looks like they were about $1k new. He wants $900 for all three of them. Anyone know if these are worth a spit and if they are very musical?

    LSA Monitors

Right now their MSRP is 1299 on the LSA website, but my local dealer can get them for me for $799 - but no return policy from the dealer...lame. As far as specs and measurements - I can't say more than: LSA ONE MONITOR SPEAKER REVIEW

    LSA Monitors

So just curious, but why would you conclude that the LSAs can't do the job, but a paradigm studio 10/20 can? I have nothing against the paradigms, in fact I still have som S80's that are still great for HT, but I've read that the LSAs can hold their own, are very musical, and aren't known to be...

    LSA Monitors

So I've decided on which monitors to get that are within my price range - the LSA's - but my question is whether to get the LSA .5s or the LSA Standards. I will be placing these on a bookshelf (WAF factor) with one inch of space behind them (the max height on the bookshelf is 14 inches). The...

    Outdoor sub use

Thanks Z - those JBLs seem the most sensible way to go. Looks like I can paint them in to try and camaflouge them in. I was also lookings at these Bogen's that would go in like canned lighting - Bogen Communications CSUB 70V / 8 Ohm Ceiling Mounted CSUB B&H -but I don't have 12.5 inches...

Got the Swan MKIII - now what?

"Getting better sound out of an ipod is a different story." - I'm reloading all of my CDs at the present to take them from the original 128kbps to 320 kbps. I guess that is all I can do from an Ipod perspective "In any case, I don't know offhand of a dac that does 2.1 management. You...

    Swan D1080MKII 08

What's the best way to integrate a sub in this environment? Is there a DAC that has a sub output along with the two L/R rca outputs for the Swans?

Got the Swan MKIII - now what?

I've been reading and reading on how to get the best sound quality out of my PC or Ipod. I believe the next step is to invest in a DAC and a decent sub - like the dayton 120. I have never used a DAC, but I know I need a place to hook up the sub. Any recommendations on a good but inexpensive...

Sleek side speakers, flat screen, but obnoxious center channel layout

Ummm - well, your set-up is truely an inspiration. However, this is for the bedroom and if there is any lick of truth in electro-magnetic waves and their effect on sleep patterns, I don't think a bear could hibernate in that room! I'm leaning on cutting the dry wall and inserting the center...

Sleek side speakers, flat screen, but obnoxious center channel layout

Hey - would love recommendation on how to make things look right on my set up in the bedroom. I'm installing a plasma on the wall - tilt backing - and I have a pair of Vienna Acoustic's Waltz on either side. I have an old PB12 paradigm sub that works good enough for bedroom stuff. The issue...

Enter to Win: Outdoor Speakers from Aperion Audio

5.1 Purchasing a flat panel television is usally a result from a need to make efficient use of space or aesthetics. There is probably more, but these two reasons are the heavy weights on the subject. In order to supplement the look and feel of the flat panel, I would go with something that is...

Building the Bedroom up - question on reciever

The older yamaha seems to be driving the Vienna acoustics just fine. I am really pleased with the sound delivery - very clear. They measure up very well, if not better, than my old paradigm studio 80s.
