I remember my dad telling me that the company took a turn for the worse when Sydney Harmon sold to Beatrice Foods and he left the same time that Arnold Wolf left.

SVS SB2000 Gloss $499.00
I was wondering the same thing. I went to Frys to buy a USB cable and saw a pallet of SVS subs in the aisle. I checked my phone for any specials and bought one on the spot. Right place right time I guess.

SVS SB2000 Gloss $499.00
My Jubals are complete. My father worked at the Northridge CA factory in the 70's. He could buy a pair of speakers every 6 months at factory cost. The family has L100s, L36s, L26s and L110s from the 70's and IMHO the L65s are the best of the bunch.

The Marantz SR6013 9.2CH 4K Ultra HD AV Receiver with HEOS ($1,500 value) Giveaway is Here!
Denon/Marantz To me they have the best bang for the buck. I just replaced a 16 year old Denon 3802 with a 3500. I should have bought the Marantz 5013. Deal was to good to pass up. Found out later that I needed the Marantz for the 7.1 analog input for my legacy sacd/dvda that only plays dvda over...

Fluance XL7F Floorstanding Loudspeaker Review
Its hard to get excited about anything from a company thats known for $200 5.0 systems. At the $500 per pair price point I have yet to hear a loudspeaker that sounds better than an Axiom M22

Onkyo TX-NR609 THX Select2 Plus 7.2 Network Receiver First Look
it appears that yamaha is the only one offering pre outs on mid-priced receivers. I've never been a fan of yamaha, but I'm looking to update my system and it looks like i will be buying the Yamaha RX-V667 and an Outlaw 7125 amp.

To Oppo or not to Oppo?
Minus the SACD the LG BD590 seems to be a pretty good fit. It has a 250GB hard drive and The BD590 is also DLNA compliant and capable of streaming video, audio, and photo files from a network-connected PC. They are around $200 now and I'm buying one for my dad for Chirstmas.
